(Unfortunately, the premises were also occupied by House Sparrows.) The Purple Martin house has been there for a long time, at least 50 years. The Martins arrived 2 weeks ago, according to the staff. I saw at least 1 female and 2 males. The males were going in and out so I assume there are more females inside. If anyone is interested, Radebaugh Greenhouse is located at Burke Avenue. There's a 1st National Bank at the intersection of Burke & York Roads. Turn east into Burke and go down a few blocks. Radebaugh is located on the left. The Purple Martin house is located right in front of the main greenhouse entrance (behind the white house/store.) Address: 120 Burke Ave, Towson. Tel: 410-825-4300 A great place to visit if you want to see the Martins, and get some really nice plants too. - shireen Shireen Gonzaga Baltimore, MD ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
