Did you ever notice that there must be a thousand shades of green in the emerging leaves of spring? The Ponds yielded a pair of Caspian Terns, fishing successfully. Harford Glen gave me my first Prothonotary Warbler of the year, feeding on a mudbank alongside a White-throat and a Palm Warbler (eastern). Also my first Green Heron of the year, hanging around with three Great Egrets. Spied four Wood Ducks (usually reliable here).
