A handful of red-throate= d loons were diving in the Bay. A few great black-backed gulls and ring-= billed gulls. Watched an osprey carry a fish to its mate on the nest pla= tform. White-throated sparrows and cardinals sang all over the place. W= alked to the pond; along the way heard my first gnatcatchers of the year.= Bracken ferns were unfurling their leaves. Sassafras is blooming. At = the pond, saw one male wood duck fly over and saw my first white-eyed vir= eo of the year. Chickadees, titmice, and gnatcatchers were frolicking in= the greening trees. The serviceberries in bloom all around the pond wer= e very striking. Black huckleberries are blooming and the chokeberries h= ad buds. Got to hear a chorus of southern leopard frogs and watch one as= it inflated his vocal sacs. Also heard and saw my first bullfrogs of th= e year. Saw a bat while driving through BARC on the way home. Happy spring, Meghan Tice, Glenn Dale, Prince George's County cecropia13@msn.com =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
