It seemed quieter than usual for some reason -- perhaps the birds were all off having Easter dinner. But there was one highlight -- a Prothonotary Warbler in some saplings with standing water around them just before the circle at the end of the road that goes behind Merganser Pond. Another birder (whom we didn't know) was sitting in his car looking at something, so we pulled up and asked what he'd seen. He told us about the Prothonotary, and sure enough, there it was, only about 30 feet from the road. A nice treat to end a pleasant day.
