A good decision, as we ran into a little "fall" of warblers as well as our first Chimney Swifts and White-eyed Vireo of the year. Birds seen include: KAG -- Great Egret (2), Chimney Swift (10), Myrtle Warbler (60), Palm Warbler (all yellow), 20+, Yellowthroat (6), Parula (2), Black-and-White Warbler (1), White-eyed Vireo (1), Hermit Thrush (1), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (2), Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (20+), Phoebe (2), as well as many Tree Swallows enjoying the new nest boxes, Northern Rough-wings and Barn Swallows also much in evidence. The new boardwalk is *supposed* to be finished by Wednesday, according to a worker. At the Park, we added 10 Savannah Sparrows, 2 Field Sparrows singing on territory, as well as two Wilson's Snipe. A couple more Gnatcatchers and Myrtles, plus a singing Bluebird finished the morning.
