As i had to leave early 11:00 am I do not know the total species count but i would say the highlight was the Pileated Woodpecker about 40 feet away at the base of a tree feeding on the lower trunck great views where had by all . Other birds seen Wood Duck male , Robin carrying food to a nesting site, Crow carrying food , purple Martians , tree swallow, Barn swallows, Ovenbird , common yellow throat , Louisiana waterthrush ,Northern Parula Warbler, starling gathering Nesting material in the town of trappe near route 50, Eastern Bluebirds, Yellow - Rumped warblers . Singing White Throated Sparrows , Savannah Sparrows. A Breeding plumage Common loon flying north, Latter in the Eveing after the family dinner I drove to the Kent narrows Area in Queen Annes county to look for Red- Necked Grebes. I located four birds swimming in a southwest direction out to sea in the setting Sun What a Nice end to a nice day.
