Derek, Your description sounds just right for Blue-headed Vireo, which are moving through our area right now. We saw 2 at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens with the ANS youth group "Ospreys" on a trip there Saturday. They were in the same trees as a small flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers, B-G Gnatcatchers and a couple of Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and 2 chickadees! Very handsome birds, no?
