Its a good place to go to review pending bills. I visit it each year to look for the "anti-trapping" bill that HSUS sponsors. The one that many Maryland "ornithologists" support even though it is designed to prevent the use of traps and nets used by real ornithologists as well as the leghold traps used in fur and animal control. You can see the early language of the bills and the revisions within a few days as they occur. But as was obvious on my link, its hard to follow with all the crossed out lines etc. I didn't even read this one as it was such a mess - must have had lots of arguing on the floor. But it certainly is something Maryland birders should keep an eye on. Particularly as the attitude of our leaders has changed - they may start sneaking things through that we don't want.
