Elliott Island, April 24.

Grassy marsh - 17 stilts, 21 willets, 57 lesser yellowlegs, 23 greater =
yellowlegs, one pectoral sandpiper, 47 dunlin seen.

Among other birds seen were laughing gulls, forster's terns, purple =
martins and glossy ibis.   All of the laughing gulls and Forster's terns =
seen were in, or very near, breeding plumage
