Worm-eating Warblers were quite common along with Pine, Yellowthroats, White-eyed Vireos, and a nice pair of Swamp Sparrows. Field sparrows were singing at almost every stop in both counties. At the end of Hog Island Rd. on the Choptank I had a Clapper Rail along with an Eastern Kingbird. Many Caspian and Forster's Terns along with a few Bonapartes Gulls working the River. Flooded fields in Caroline Co. still yielded many Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs and one pair of Pectoral Sandpipers were observed in a marshy field off of Guard Rd. (Caroline Co.). In the woods off of Old Bradley Rd. (Wicomico Co.) more Worm-eating Warblers were observed along with many singing White-eyed Vireos. The marshes along old Rt. 50 opposite Vienna held more Lesser Yellowlegs and a pair of Wood Ducks and I heard a single Marsh Wren singing.
