(-seems like I have been doing this at least once or twice a week) Palm Warbler was seen foraging throught the tops of my chestnut oak trees with Yellow-rumped Warbler. Also a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird was seen flying through the yard a half hour after I hung my hummingbird feeder. Earlier I started out the day fishing the upper bay and noted around 100 Bonaparte's Gulls. After fishing I went to Bombay Hook (in Delaware -sorry) and found a few more "first time for the year birds for me" including, Eastern Kingbirds, Common Yellow Throats, Yellow Warbler, Blue-headed Warbler, and Catbird. Shorebirds were there though not in great numbers -(7 species found). A sunset cruise through the marinas of the North East River produced a Red- necked Grebe in the North East Harbor and Black-crowned Night Herron in the Charlestown Marina.
