It was great to finally hear those buzzy Greens and Blues in the trees, and enjoy singing Scarlet Tanagers! Seen: Warblers: Myrtle (~150) -- you guys can leave anytime, thanks; Nashville (1), Prairie (1, singing in Military Field), Magnolia (1), Black-and-White (3), Parula (3), Black-throated Green (6), Black-throated Blue (6-7), Ovenbird (5), Blue-winged (2), Palm (1). Other migrants: Blue-headed Vireo (6), Red-eyed Vireo (4), Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (18), Scarlet Tanager (2), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (1), Great Crested Flycatcher (1), Eastern Kingbird (1), Hermit Thrush (1), Wood Thrush (4), Gray Catbird (6, all in Military Field), White-throated Sparrow (numbers way down, only recorded 6-8), Common Loon (1, flyover low), Solitary Sandpiper (1 made a pass at pool in Maintenance Yard, but sheered off when it saw the birders), only a few Chimney Swifts today.
