The GREATER SCAUP continues at the wildlife end. Vireos were up with (8) WHITE-EYES, (1) WARBLING and (2) RED-EYED. My first CEDAR WAXWINGS of the spring with 4 birds bathing in a streamlet. Sorting through the 120 YELLOW-RUMPS was a challenge but a single BLACK-THROATED GREEN'S song was notable. ORIOLES of both species on the upswing. A single ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK at home. A report of a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER in Woodbine on Saturday. A report of a single hen RING-NECKED PHEASANT on Schaffer's Mill Road means there is at least one left in Howard!
