Just over 60 species again. We started in field areas and found our first GRASSHOPPER SPARROW of the spring. A LEAST SANDPIPER was also a new. BOBOLINK numbers were up to 12. In a wooded area we found YELLOW-THROATED, BLUE HEADED and WHITE-EYED VIREOS. Warblers were scarce but it was late morning. We did find 2 BLACK-THROATED BLUES, BLACK AND WHITE and a PALM WARBLER (in deep woods!) among the expected residents. A HERMIT THRUSH among the increasing numbers of WOOD THRUSHES. A very raucous AMERICAN CROW found a BARRED OWL for us.
