From 10:25 to 10:30 am, at Point Lookout State Park causeway we viewed a male Harlequin Duck located about 75 yards into the Bay at the south end of the causeway. The Harlequin was keeping company with a Bufflehead pair. At the Point were Red-breasted Merganser and Yellow and Prairie Warblers. In the woods between the picnic area and Fort Lincoln, many White-Throated Sparrows and Catbirds. First of the season for us were: Ipswich Savannah Sparrow; Rose-breasted and Blue Grosbeaks, Indigo Bunting, Baltimore and Orchard Orioles. Warblers were slow this morning.
