Thank you to Rob Anderson for the ride home--it = extended my birding time! Of note: Acadian Flycatcher (in Soapstone Valley, my first of the spring) Purple Martin (2 flyovers at Picnic Area 17/18) Ruby-crowned Kinglet (1 at the Maintenance Yard) Veery (2-3 singing in Soapstone Valley, the first I've heard there this = spring) Scarlet Tanager (3 at Maintenance Yard) Swamp Sparrow (1 at Maintenance Yard) Rose-breasted Grosbeak (1 female at Mainenance Yard, others saw a male = as well) Indigo Bunting (Picnic Area 17/18, my first of the year) 5 Vireo species-- Warbling, White-eyed, Blue-headed, & Red-eyed (Maintenance Yard) Yellow-throated (Nature Center) 9 Warbler species, including-- Blue-winged (near Picnic Area 17/18; a too-long-delayed lifer for me!)
