Work was a bit slow so I got to "sneak out" and bir= d/butterfly around the garden. Other birds seen and/or heard follow: =20 Red-shouldered Hawk - a pair calling, aerial display Northern Bobwhite - heard the single note several times, but not the "bob= -white" (FOY) Peacock - calling (belongs to the neighbor, well it is a bird...) Mourning Dove Chimney Swift Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 2 (FOY) Red-bellied Woodpecker Blue Jay - several starting the prowl for egg robbery American Crow Fish Crow Tufted Titmouse Carolina Chickadee Carolina Wren Wood Thrush - 3 singing (FOY) American Robin Gray Catbird - singing all day European Starling Red-Eyed Vireo - 1 singing (FOY) Myrtle Warbler - several, including one extremely flirtatious pair Blackpoll Warbler - singing (FOY at work) Northern Cardinal Eastern Towhee Song Sparrow - singing Chipping Sparrow - singing White-throated Sparrow - singing Red-winged Blackbird Common Grackle American Goldfinch - lots of singing House Finch - pair =20 Butterflies included tiger swallowtail, eastern tailed blue, cabbage whit= e, orange sulphur, pearl crescent, and Henry's elfin.
