(My first of the year) We had a nice mix of resident and migrant warblers including Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, and a dazzling Chestnut-sided. We also saw some Veeries and Wood Thrushes there. Some of us went on to Soldiers Delight which had Prairie, Pine, and B&W Warblers, but we saw no Chats there. We also heard a yodeling flyby Common Loon. Pete Webb and I went down to Powells Run Road where we did see at least 2 singing Chats (new for the year for me), an Orchard Oriole, Prairie Warbler, Field Sparrow, and heard-only Nashville and Blue-winged Warblers, and Barred Owl. And yes, Gail [Frantz], a Solitary Sandpiper in the new "mitigated wetland" (a drainage puddle from recent expansion of the quarry.)
