I had a good number of migrants around including three new additions to my yard list! Those birds were: Baltimore Oriole, Orchard Oriole, and Common Yellowthroat. Other migrants around were: Northern Parula, Yellow-rumped Warbler, American Redstart, Pine Warbler, House Wren (nesting), Chipping Sparrow (nesting), Gray Catbird, Barn Swallow, Northern Rough-winged Swallow, and Osprey (nesting). Other notes: While walking through the woods I flushed a Large brown raptor- like bird in dense forest. I believe this was a Great Horned Owl, but I am not sure of its ID. All I really saw were its wings and they were huge! Also I noticed my first broods of ducklings and goslings at my house on Saturday.
