But you had to sift them out from among the many many lingering Yellow-rumps. And as it is during migration, many were heard only. It started to rain in earnest around 10:30 am and we left although birds were still active. Birds seen and heard: Warblers: Myrtle (~300) (will they NEVER leave?); Black-and-White (5), Black-throated Blue (8), Black-throated Green (10), Blackpoll (5), Blue-winged (2), Chestnut-sided (3), Canada (1), Cape May (1), YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT (1, maintenance yard for 2nd day), Magnolia (2), Nashville (2), Redstart (2), Ovenbird (8), Yellowthroat (1). Other migrants: Red-eyed Vireo (~35 -- singing everywhere), Blue-headed Vireo (1, singing), White-eyed Vireo (2), Yellow-throated Vireo (1), Scarlet Tanager (4), Baltimore Oriole (1), Brown Thrasher (2), Wood Thrush (4), Yellow-billed Cuckoo (7), Cedar Waxwing (4), Ruby-throated Hummingbird (1), Indigo Bunting (3).
