I presently have 22 feeders out in my "yard". As Gail said "location, location, location" is the key. I really have a very tiny yard- I live in a townhouse. I am on the top of a ridge that overlooks the Patapsco river. I seem to be on a mini "flyway" for raptors. I have a mature woodland surrounding the development and second growth up the hillside to the house. Many of the trees on the wood edge died leaving a good number of snags. Feeder diversity helps and spread out feeding stations are a bonus.
