However, I had excellent close-up looks at Yellow, Chestnut-sided and Common Yellowthroat as they decided the little rivulet alongside the road leading down to Dumbarton Oaks park (behind "the" Dumbarton Oaks) was a lovely place to bathe. The Yellow flew in & perched 10' from me in open view, waiting for the big birds (house sparrows) to vacate the bath. Also saw Yellow-rumped (surprise!), heard Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, N Parula. Others heard Redstart, Nashville & I forget. A Veery was serenading by the stream in Dumbarton Oaks park, another -- and more plausible - - birdbath. -- Carrol Cowan Washington DC ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =======================================================================
