I had 33 species in my little strip of Rock Creek Park along Q Street. Warblers were: Yellow Magnolia Black-throated Blue Yellow-rumped, still out in force Blackpoll Black & White Ovenbird Common Yellowthroat Hooded I had good looks at several of these, as well as a Swainson's Thrush that's been around for a week -- I assume it's the same one, I always see it in a very defined area. It's not very shy, and has serenaded a couple times. Also good looks at a White-crowned Sparrow, a treat in this part of the world. Am I the only one who thinks they look like they're wearing bicycle helmets? Good birding, -- Carrol Cowan Washington DC ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
