Feels a little silly being thrilled over a Brown Thrasher after reading all the great posts from the Rock Creek Park Warbler Krew. But, hey, he/she/it was neat, high in a neighbor's tree, back-lit against the morning sun, singing tentatively, then strongly. That performance, along with the Wood Thrush still singing in the background, held me until I could get to the office and read about the fifty or sixty warblers found on DC's most prominent birding ridge. Work can be such a distraction. But I delight in your success (and even more in your reports)!
