This bird's > song was especially bouncy and emphatic. I have found the Hooded have two main versions of song. One version (I think of as most common) which ends on a down note. "ta wit, ta wit, ta wit -e-oo" . The other version they seem to bring the ending up fairly sharply. For whatever reason most of the Hooded at Rockburn sing the upslurred version, other places I don't hear it nearly as frequently.
