In 5-10 minutes I heard 6 Veery, 9 Swainson's, a Wood and 3-4 others just not clear enough to identify, but at least one was in the Gray-cheeked/Bicknell's range. Today, in a much abbreviated walk, many of yesterday's birds were still around. We registered 11 of the 15 warblers from yesterday, missing only Nashville (but might have had a glimpse), Yellow, Blackburnian and Prairie. The dense foliage in tall trees is a killer when they aren't singing. Paul O'Brien Rockville, Mont.
