She summoned me to the deck. We both listened for a period, tried some tricks, but could not get the animal to come into view. See you at Fensel in June. She lived with them for eleven years in western Maryland, and got onto the song immediately. Those bionic ears paid off once again. After she went to work (I was off), I hung around and found a male and female Blue Grosbeak perched in a Maple in the back yard. They never came to the Black Oil feeders while I watched. Later in the morning a singing male Canada Warbler visited the Back Gum tree by the drive. Trying to get a photograph, I flushed a single Blackpoll. The rains eventually came, and every one quieted.
