I haven't been to Huntely MEadows in a few years, seems like the explosion of Geese had severely degraded the marsh habitat. I can remember in 1984 everyone was all gaga because a pair of Canada Geese has successfully nested there. Used to be able to count on 50+ species between 5-8 am. Can anyone tell me how it is now, esp concerning rails, bitterns, RH woodpeckers, hooded mergs?
