Also present were the following warblers: Northern Parula, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue, Yellow-rumped, Black-throated Green, Blackpoll, Black-and-white, American Redstart, Ovenbird and a Northern Waterthrush. Except for the Waterthrush, all the other warblers were present yesterday, as were Tennessee, Blackburnian and Common Yellowthroat, which might still be around, but the singing was much reduced today. Last night between 11:30 and 11:45 I heard a flood of thrushes migrating overhead: 14 Veery, 2 Gray-cheeked, 1 Bicknell's, 26 Swainson's, 3 Hermit and 10 Wood plus a handful that weren't clear enough to identify. Conditions were perfect, with a broken overcast and weak southwest winds. Most of the birds were just above the treetops. Paul O'Brien Rockville, Mont.
