I = actually started at 4:50 a.m., and continued to a little after 5:00 p.m. = The 4:50 start was to check on what early morning birds were around - = and I was especially pleased to hear a Woodcock at that time right here = at home. (I had not previously heard any this year). Owls and = Chuck-wills Widows were also calling. For the day, I ended up with a total of 91 species and 1418 = individuals. For this area, I was happy enough about the Warblers (11 = species), but the big addition to this year's count in both numbers and = species was from the Pickering Creek Wetland ponds. Over there I found = eleven species of shorebirds. =20 Highlights for the day: Warblers - Parula, Yellow, Black-throated Blue, Yellow-rumped, Pine, = Blackpoll, Kentucky, Redstart, Ovenbird, Chat and Common Yellowthroat. At Pickering Creek: Shorebirds - 7 Semipalmated Plovers, 5 Killdeer, 9 Greater = Yellowlegs, 6 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Solitary Sandpiper, 3 Spotted = Sandpipers (each at a different stage in the change to alternative = plumage), 5 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 170 Least Sandpipers, 35 Pectoral = Sandpipers, 12 Dunlin and 2 Short-billed Dowitchers. =20 Les Roslund lroslund@bluecrab.org Talbot County Easton MD 21601 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
