A short walk through Layhill park yesterday morning produced some nice birds. We found 2 female Wilson's Warblers. A YB Chat provided some very nice views from the parking lot while eating and preening. There were also a large number of both orioles. We lost count of the Warbling Vireos after 10; one was even feeding on the ground and remained near the ground for some time. All were calling along the river in the sycamores along the formal park area. We didn't here any else where in the park though. Some other birds... Several Yellow warblers, Redstarts, L Waterthrush Indigo buntings A few Veerys calling across the river.
