This site seems more objective (Oregon State University/EPA sponsored) - http://ace.ace.orst.edu/info/extoxnet/pips/permethr.htm Note that human toxicity of permethrin is given as moderate to "practically non-toxic". Carcinogenicity is given as "inconclusive" while the Safe 2 Use site gave two positive animal cancer studies. (Note also that a lot of factors can render a cancer study invalid or inconclusive, while appearing to produce positive results.) In any event, they want to spray with Permethrin. Does anyone out there have a feel for this insecticide and how much it might affect insect populations other than mosquitos? Could it have a direct impact on birds or only indirect by affecting food sources? ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
