The birds apparently succumbed this past February to encounters with the fierce downtown traffic along the streets they frequently gleaned for food. Fran and I were lucky enough to locate 5 of these birds during our July 1998 trip to Washington and British Columbia and I was curious about how many other MDOsprey folk have been able to see them before their untimely extirpation. We were able to find the birds we saw thanks to the great directions posted on the Birding in British Columbia website (http://birding.bc.ca/index.htm) edited by K. Slagboom. Let us know if YOU saw the Crested Mynas too!
