The area immediately surrounding one of the mud puddles along an interior trail, on the other hand, was bursting with activity. Within 15 minutes, 7 different warblers (Parula, Ovenbird, Redstart, Yellow-rumped, Blackpoll, Canada and Yellowthroat), Red-eyed Vireos, a Scarlet Tanager, Indigo Buntings, a Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Cedar Waxwings, Eastern Kingbirds, a Towhee and a White-throated Sparrow frolicked in the puddle, probed the mud or hovered nearby. Also found several Baltimore Orioles, Wood and Swainson's Thrushes and a couple of Warbling Vireos on or near the Island.
