Many seem to be thrush-sized but some are smaller, more like warblers. And one tight flock of seven shorebirds. I estimate about 100 birds per hour passing. Figuring on average, about one in 200 birds pass in front of the moon and the flight lasts ten hours, that's 200,000 birds passing my yard tonight. Y'all thought Rock Creek was the local hot spot... Most are way up there -- a scope really helps.
