The 2003 list was up to 202 species as of May 14, representing 64.3% of the total. That's 38 new species in the first 2 weeks of May, not including this past weekend's additions. On May 14, this year's list was 18 birds ahead of the 2002 list and included 7 species never reported in 2002 -- Red-necked Grebe, Dunlin, Iceland Gull, Least Tern, Black-billed Cuckoo, Cerulean Warbler, and American Tree Sparrow. All woodpeckers, swallows, thrushes, and warblers other than Connecticut have been accounted for. Additions to the list from May 1 to 14 were made by: C Cowan, B Dobbins, C Harris, R Hilton, J Hubbell, G Mackiernan/B Cooper, M Paul, P Pisano, D Ryan, and J Waanders.
