Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Today, at Black Hill Park in Montgomery County, I was watching a soaring Turkey Vulture when two distance birds came into view - beyond naked eye. They were at a 45 degree angle to me. They were flapping and soaring closely together (synchronized) in a circle for about 5-10 minutes. The soaring was not for a extended period of time. One had a pale neck/throat. They soared on flat wings. The neck looked long and slander and was longer than the tail. I cannot say the tail was distinctive but appeared squared and not radically fanned. I could not see the upper surface of the wings. The flaps were not deep - wings not goiing below the body. I don't have any experience with soaring Anhingas so any comments would be appreciated (and never really looked THAT closely at Cormorants). Just that the pale neck/throat was very evident.
