We consatrated mostly on shore/sea birds and consequently picked up only around 100 species +/-. I won't elaborate on much out of state but a few notable species were seen around dusk in Cecil County, MD. In Elkton at the YMCA on Route 40 Tuomo showed me a Solitary Sandpiper that has been seen at a little pond there for a few weeks. Also there was a lone Least Sandpiper and Killdeer there. At the North East Town Park tomo found a Red-necked Grebe and Common Night Hawk. At my house in Hances Point I found a Red-necked Grebe and Common Night Hawk also. In addition a Baltimore Oriole was seen in my yard. Our best birds for the day turned out to be Whimbrel, Piping Plover, and Peregrin Falcon in NJ. Good Birding, Chris Starling North East, MD ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
