(Please be advised the property owners are VERY anti-birder- view the pond only from the road by the school or the church across the street!). There were 6 SPOTTED, 3 SOLITARY and 1 LEAST along the edge. In the cornfield stubble across from the pond we found 4 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS. As we were watching the plovers 5 peeps flew into the pond which turned out to be SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS. There was also a single SEMI PALM SAND in one of the new ponds behind Reservoir high school. Was delighted to find a SWAMP SPARROW out in my atlas block before I headed home. Made for a wonderful sparrow weekend!
