Willard Rd.. Totaled 47 species. Best find were 2 singing Willow Flycatchers in the field NW of the intersection of River & Sycamore Landing Rds. Species that are found mostly along this route-Prairie Warbler(16), Yellow-breasted Chat (6), Eastern Towhee (10) , Chipping Sparrow (5) and Field Sparrow(16)- were in normal numbers. Not surprisingly I didn't find any Carolina Wrens. Came back through the fields looking for shorebirds. Plenty of water, but no shorebirds. Added another 7 species with the best one being a male Bobolink flying over. Was also pleased to find more Eastern Bluebirds than I knew were here. Biggest surprise of the day was the number of singing White=eyed Vireos- 7 on the count and 7 on the return trip.
