I had my "Birder's Guide to Montgomery County" with me and = followed the directions in the Mont. Co. Back Roads chapter. I didn't = have too much time and the rain was intermittent, but I still managed to = see and hear a few nice birds (numbers in parentheses indicate miles = from Sycamore Landing Rd on River/Mt.Nebo/West Offutt Rds): (5.7) Kentucky Warbler & American Redstart - just north of Edward's = Ferry entrance (7.8) Grasshopper Sparrow - there were several singing from the various = farm fields (7.9) Willow Flycatcher & Yellow Warbler - there was a Willow Flycatcher = on each side of the road here (8.3) Horned Larks - singing near the J.T.
