Also, I'm trying not to sound too cranky, even though I had a terrible day scouting out Greenbelt Lake today. (There was a new sight--a kayaker invading formerly private avian turf.) Anyway, here's some food for thought about the topic at hand: I assume we will continue to use our judgment about what is a MD topic. For instance, many of us live in MD but work in DC, where we also bird. As this type of cross-border birder, I would like to continue to hear DC reports. Also, I believe many Marylanders go on the Lewes pelagic boat trips, so wouldn't it be useful to allow such information? Also relating to whether to report out-of-MD information, I made a trip to Monticello Park in Alexandria about 4 weeks ago, and, even at that time, hesitated to describe the situation there because this is a MD list. However, in retrospect, I thought I should have said something because this park is a REGIONALLY important resource, and any threat to it would seem to matter to all us people in DC and its suburbs.
