Strong gusty wind about 20-30 mph and choppy waves (big one) brought some nice pelagic birds almost close to shore. Over the years I usually see gannets offshore during strong winds after rain from the inlet and some pelagic birds while fishing offshore. But yesterday is unusual. Spent about an hour and half scanning the ocean with my scope and another hour at other sites. Pretty slow due to strong wind all morning.
