MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Ok, I'll admit that I check the District section of the paper every Thursday to look for birds in the animal pages. Hey, it did result in one Atlas sighting for a Woodcock. Too bad they don't tell us the species of duck. Well, I thought you all would find this amusing, or not so amusing. It is good to know someone at the State Department had them moved instead of trampled. I'm sure there is more to the story -- more like Ducklings forcibly removed from their nest and first home to make way for President's press event. ******************************************** Ducklings Make Way for President C St. NE, 2200 block, May 27. A State Department employee called animal control because President Bush was scheduled to arrive and make a speech and a duck and its ducklings were "in the way" outdoors. Before an animal control officer arrived, the duck moved the ducklings to a reflecting pool.
