I returned Monday morning and refound the bird in a different area of this block. Last night around 7pm I returned and did not see or hear him. The boys were running their ATVs around the fields and I did not hear or see any of the flycatchers. I returned this afternoon and despite the hot, humid weather, the Least and the Willow flycathers were vocalizing on territory. Again, I did not see or hear the Alder. I will continue to listen and look for the Alder, but most likely he has left the area. Last evening I also saw an incredible Luna Moth spread out on the handle bar of a junked child's bicycle. This afternoon I found two fledged cowbirds with a female Orchard Oriole.
