I'm assuming that two of them are the pair that moved into our=20 neighborhood last December. The other two, their young? The quartet's repetitive melody produced the most primitive harmonies. Their= =20 rhythmic choices and dynamics tended to be limited. On the other hand,=20 soloists were confident and projected nicely. Fortunately, interesting embel= lishments=20 were added from a barking fox, some Catbirds, Cardinals, Wood Thrush, House=20 Wrens, Eastern Towhees and Robins.=20 A few fireflies added a bit of visual interest.=20 The enthusiasm of the performers, plus the 1 hr 30 min length (Mahler=20 inspired?) of the completed "piece", was impressive. Therefore, in spite of some musical shortcomings, this program was a definit= e=20 "10".
