My aggregate day = produced 66 species and 25 confirmed nesters with the breakdown going = like this: Cecilton - NE (4hrs, 59 species, 19 confirmed); Cecilton - CE = (1 hr, 29 species, 4 confirmed), Cecilton - SE (2 hrs, 37 species, 10 = confirmed). As usual grackles proved easy "prey" and were confirmed in = all blocks. My highlights included Warbling Vireo (at Bohemia Mill), = Osprey (ON - actually barely inside Middletown, DE), gnatcatcher (NY), = Great Egret (Bohemia Mill), Blue Grosbeak, and Eastern Meadowlark in = Cecilton - NE (around Bohemia Mill & St. Augustine). By far my best = birds in Cecilton - NE were the four singing male Savannah Sparrows on = Myrtle Wilson Rd and Mitton Rd in turfy pastures in thoroughbred farms. = I didn't see any females but these guys were singing responsively as if = on territory. My best bird in Cecilton - CE was a Vesper Sparrow on = Middle Neck Rd not far uphill from Old Telegraph Rd north of Warwick. My = favorite birds in Cecilton -SE were a Bank Swallow (given an "O" as = "observed"), a bobwhite, and a pair of thrashers carrying food for = young.=20 Good Atlasing & Birding, Walter Ellison MD-DC Atlas Coordinator - MOS 23460 Clarissa Road Chestertown, MD 21620 phone: 410-778-9568 e-mail: rossgull@crosslink.net "A person who is looking for something doesn't travel very fast" - E.
