One was mom with eight young, the other was mom with five. Earlier this week, I saw Mom with eight again, and all seemed to be doing fine. The babies are now getting pretty big. At my own home - no Wood Ducks this year. For at least the past 3 years my Wood Duck box has been used, but no adults showed up in early spring, and there hence was no nesting here this year.
