I just received an e-mail message from Ottavio Janni in Italy (he still monitors MDOsprey, particularly for news of DC birds), who says he had a Blackpoll linger in his DC back yard until June 17 in 1992. And I received another message from Craig Faanes of Falls Church, VA, who says he had one singing outside his apartment on Roosevelt Blvd. last Thursday, June 19, 2003.
