I was able to add 14 birds to my confirmed breeding birds for one of my atlas blocks also. The most notable of these were Pileated Woodpecker Carrying food to a nest hole. I also found Fish Crows on nests. I found three different singing Orchard Orioles but could not find any Blue grosbeaks. Last year Blue Grosbeaks were very common around the complex. Other birds of note today included the following: Eastern Wood Pewee (singing), Empid sp. (hawking), Carolina Wren (rare this year), Common Yellowthroat (pair), Baltimore Oriole (flying), Ruby-throated Hummingbird male (chillin'), and Wood Thrush (singing).
